15.04.2012.

So, yes, it's a new age. ___ years ago, I was born on this very day. Though I'm not sure whether it was a Sunday but what the heck. Anyway, I've come a long way and lost time will never be found again. So I guess I should do some kind of a reflection or summary of sixteen.

Last few days of that sweet number.

I like pictures. :P They're definitely better than text.

Turn the page, take a pen and sign your name hold on to your picture
Write a wish, that will always stay like this, yeahhh friends forever
This is not goodbye, time to write the next chapter of our lives
Can't erase yesterday we'll remember it always
We started something that won't never end
Now let's write the next chapter of our lives

Noottt...exactly the most relevant lyrics for turning a year older but what the heck. I'm going bonkers over this song. Somehow I'm sentimental like that, don't ask me why. Anyway, I just wanna list down everything and everyone that made that year great. Not the greatest year I've had but it could've gone worse. (It ended up crappy, that's one thing.)

Special thanks to: Brandon K, Kimmie T, Elena G, Abigail Y, Jeanne A. (LOOK WHAT I JUST DID THERE! HAHAH!) thanks guys. For a pretty decent year. Life would've sucked without you guys and well..it sucks now because all of you aint here. -.- ANYWAY. What a journey it has been. Sounds..depressing but hey, a new chapter I'm writing. Hopefully there'll be more characters in this new one, fingers crossed!

Lessons I've learned:

1.At the end of the day, boys still make better friends. :P 2011. The year of the guy best friend (:

2. I cry darn easily. Graduation Of Class of 2011. (not my batch.) I'm still trying to get a hold of some amnesia dust or something to forget that incredibly embarrassing moment. I mean, who darn cries at a graduation ceremony? Apparently, I do. But I certainly AIN'T gonna cry at my own graduation. That's fo shure.

3. I hope I did a better job at being a Head Prefect compared to my first time ever back in primary school. Who gets to be Head Prefect twice man? Apparently, I do. Or..I did.

4. That's...about it,really. :s I've no idea what else.

5. We should never be self-absorbed to the point where you just don't care about anything or anyone else if it isn't you-related.

Moistfull Massage Mask

Moistfull Massage Mask ( Moisturizing Facial Mask + Pack + Overnight Pack)
Description: Contains Baobab Tree Extract to supply skin refining moisture.
Active Ingredient: Baobab Tree Extract

[Directions] : For massage: Apply gel to face, massage for 2-3 minutes and rinse off with warm water.
For pack: Apply ample layer to face, leave on for 10-15 minutes, and rinse off with warm water.
For overnight pack : Apply ample layer to face, leave on overnight and rinse off in the morning.

I can't do a review on this because I just bought it but I currently have this on my face and it feels really soft (kinda sticky though.) I'll see how things go in the morning. I realised only a small amount is needed so I guess this should last me for quite some time! Hope this product would still be around after I run out of the one I'm having now. HEHEH.

This massage mask's a gel type (as you can see in the picture above.) and smells pretty good. Doesn't have a strong smell, it's quite subtle.

Will do an update on this soon! :)

Etude House (AGAIN!)

Sister went out with a friend today so mom and I had to go to Pavilion to pick her up. (I had to show mommy how to get there :P)

While Elise (sister) went for her movie and what not, mom and I decided to walk around and all. Went to Tokyo Street, mom wanted to pop by Daiso and I went to buy some Ochado or WHATEVER YOU CALL IT :P So after the movie, Elise texted my mom saying she wanted to hang out a little longer so..extra time for us. Went for some Strawberry-Cheesecake  ice-cream at Baskin Robbins. (OKAY, ONLY ONE SCOOP.)  Decided to indulge just this once and buy myself a waffle cone since I normally go for the cup every time I go for summa that frozen goodness. Cost me RM9 over. The waffle cone was so sweet. WASTE..OF..MONEY. I ended up not finishing the cone.meh.

Anyway, before we left, I went over to Etude House cause Elise called up and said that they had new products and there were discounts and offers. THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT! Etude House always has offers and discounts. That's why I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EH.

Neway, I ended up buying the Moistfull Essence Massage Mask and the Pure Joy Toner for sensitive skin. The Moistfull mask was on 20% discount and the toner was half price! LIKE WHOAAA. :D
Toner's original price was about 40..? Can't remember but both products ended up buying about RM20-ish each.

However, even though I'd say Etude House is more on the affordable side, if you compare the Malaysian Etude House prices with the Korean Etude House...BIG DIFFERENCE. REALLY BIG DIFFERENCE. The Wonder Pore, (the big bottle one.) is about RM70-80 here (if I'm not mistaken. I know it was too expensive for me because I ended up not buying it.)  while in Korea, it's about RM40-ish (according to their online website.) The masks are also waaay cheaper there! The latest masks are about RM21.90 but the price on the korean website (if you convert it to RM) is about RM9. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! My friend's going to Korea so I'm getting him to buy some stuff for me. Hope he buys the right products! :P

I'm gonna buy so much when I go to Korea. -_- So cheap there if you compare the prices :( So if you're going to Korea, remember to drop by the cosmetic stores! I'm sure you won't miss 'em anyway since I hear there are so many shops ,it's hard to miss 'em :P

Update!

SO, I know I rarely post updates on things and basically, life, so I guess since I'm kinda free now,I should post something.

(I'm typing with freezing hands now. It's gonna take some time to complete this post since it's so hard to type fast when you're freezing cold.)

I'm gonna be really busy this year since my O Levels are just a few months away. Just finished my February monthly tests and I'm gonna have a one week school break soon and after that..it'll be FIRST TERM EXAMINATIONS! :O nooo. I can't wait till this is over.

February Test scores:
Chemistry : 75%. FACEPALM. I improved okay. I got like 46% for last month's test.
Bio: 89%. HALF A MARK AWAY FROM AN A+! So it's virtually an A+. idontcare :P
Add Math: 91%. Meh.
Bible Knowledge: 99% YEAYH THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT!(asians, pft. But it's true. We're like that.)
English: 88%. Highest I've ever gotten so far in the span of two years so I'm pretty satisfied with that. :)

Besides that...I can't think of anything! Oh yeah. Deeply missing my friends. It's great to have friends all scattered around the world but it sucks when you have no one near you when you really need someone. My closest friends have all migrated overseas. I've come to terms with them moving but it just kicks in again when I'm all alone and feeling oh-so-down. It just smacks me right in the face when I stare at my phone and having no one to talk to/text.

I'm thinking of doing video blogs now or vlogs, since I'm so busy and I TAKE YEARS to finish writing a post on Blogger. Idk why. :/ Maybe cause I write crazy long posts and well, I take a long time to find the right words to write. (aha.) What do you guys think? I'm kinda..mhmm about that since I'm freaking awkward in front of the camera. Cameras show how weird I talk. :/ And neither do I have the greatest accent. I hate re-watching myself on camera, it's so unflattering you've no idea.
HAHAH.

So, that's it for now. (btw, I wrote this post yesterday and didn't manage to successfully publish this because I wenta sleep. )

Turrah! :)

Blackhead Off Stick Details

So I received a comment on my previous post asking me how the blackhead off stick works.

Basically, ( or the way I use it..) you rub it straight on your nose...and it's like some lip balm but for the nose. LOL. So you rub it on areas where there are blackheads and you'll see white flakes (think of eraser dust. It's like that.) falling off, it's either that or your nose turns a little matte-white ish. Not completely WHITE but it has the matte look to it..? I'll snap a photo the next time I use it. (I kinda..misplaced it as I was moving and clearing some stuff, but it's around the house..somewhere.)

And due to the fact that I can't read Japanese..I can't exactly tell in greatest detail how this thing works. The only thing I know for sure is that it does help with removing blackheads. But anyway, I've done a little research and here are the details: :)

(Apparently there are two..versions of this stick. There's a mild one and there's a stronger one. I just found out that I have the mild one, which is the light green one. The stick for the mild one is white in colour whereas the stronger one has a beige colour to it.)

  1. This stick is called : Sony CP Blackhead Off Stick. And yes, it's made by Sony..and/or B&C Tsururi Labs in Japan. The company produces like tons of beauty products so yeah. I didnt know about that ._. My bad.
  2. Apparently over 2,000,000 pieces of this stick has been sold in Japan. It contains AHA to soften and effectively remove the hardened keratin; Clear Powder to gather and remove blackheads and unsmooth particles; Witch Hazal Extract and Phellodendoron Amurense Ruprecht (cork tree bark extracts) to tighten the pores and create a smooth skin for easier makeup application.

*Directions for use: (I honestly just apply/use this when I'm free, no specific time or like not necessarily after I cleanse my face and what not...but..)
  1. After face wash, apply 'Tsururi Black Head Off Stick' on your nose, gently massage, then use sponge or tissues to wipe, finally don't forget to apply toner. (it is normal if you feel a little warming to your nose after your massage with 'Tsururi Black Head Off Stick'.

*Remember, don't rub it hard on your nose! Gently, uhm..rub. :P If you have sensitive skin, I'd suggest you try the mild one first. Although it doesn't exactly wipes off ALL the blackheads, it does remove so I'd say it's pretty effective. It's faster too! :) *

Black Head Off Stick (Review)

I can't say much about this product since pretty much most of the info on the product itself is in Japanese.
ANYWAY, TO ME,

THIS PRODUCT IS PURE GENIUS. I bought this from Zen, Central World, Bangkok and it cost me about RM30.
When I first opened the cap, I did doubt the effectiveness of this product. When I used it..MAN, this product is pretty awesome. No more pore packs needed!

I use pore packs quite often to remove my black heads but I realised that the pore packs these days are hardly even adhesive(?) what's the word, uhmm, they can hardly even stick! I'd be peeling the pore sticker off the plastic sheet and I'll accidentally touch the sticker and I'd be like WHATTHEHECK?! It's not even sticky. The pore stickers used to be sticky even without water. -_-  And now, pore packs these days don't barely removes any black heads and hardly helps with clogged pores. I'm beginning to reconsider buying pore packs. They're not that cheap in the first place.

So anyway, I bought this stick, and man, it DOES remove blackheads. I was so surprised to see like, mini hairs on the stick. My sister says it's pretty disgusting but I FIND IT SO..ahem..interesting. I mean, we normally use like pore stickers and it hurts like..MAN IT HURTS..and it doesnt even remove that many blackheads. This stick, NO PAIN, and quite a few hairs are removed. I wouldn't say I'd completely depend on this to remove ALL my blackheads because it doesn't remove ALL..but it does remove blackheads so I happy with that. Blackheads ARE pretty much the hardest to remove anyway, right?

Honestly, I have no idea how to describe the stick. LOL. It's..like..smooth .and..white. It's like a lipbalm stick, so you turn the handle thing and it goes up and down and you rub it straight on your nose. Little like, flecks of white..stick stuff will rub off and you can see some of your tiny hairs on the stick.

Don't ask me how it works. Friction..? Idk, I think this product is pure genius. Worth it? Yeah pretty much I guess. I hope I'm not exaggerating. I guess 60-70% of my enthusiasm for this product is because it's..COOL and it's fun tryna figure out, WHAT DID IT JUST DO? and 30-40% is about how it really works. :P

My thoughts:
First up, I'm SO HAPPY that Etude House has finally released a line for sensitive skin. For me, having sensitive skin means not being able to try many products and that's a huge bummer for me since I love buying and shopping for lots of products (and also maybe paying for the packaging!).

There's always a part of me that is just plain reluctant to use some product with some doctor given medicine-ish looking (you get my drift..?) packaging and that has some scientific term-ish name. And even though I'm definitely not one of the girliest girls out there, I still LOVE pretty and adorable packagings. I guess that fact makes me more of a girl..? Meh.

[Packaging] : The packaging for this product's decent. Simple and sweet. I like it. The practicality of the packaging and how the product's been designed..not so much. There are many people out there complain about having to dip their fingers into jars and I guess I've been influenced about that too. This little bottle doesn't come with a mini spoon to scoop (?) the cream so yeaah..more of the hygiene side. I'm using the mini spoon that came with my Baviphat Mango Steam scrub for this cream.

[Functionally] ; I just bought this recently so I haven't been able to see a huge difference and I haven't been able to apply/ use this cream every night since I've been studying late and by the time I'm done with studying, BOOM! Sleep. I do notice that my skin hasn't reacted negatively to it so far so that's good. I've photosensitive skin and when it's dry or if I go under the sun, my cheeks may get kinda flaky and white-ish. So I do need a good moisturizer.

Honestly I haven't been using moisturizers until I bought this and another Boots Sensitive Care Day moisturizer. I used some medicated/treatment cream called Efficort  that the doctor prescribed for me when I went to find out why my skin was all itchy. So it worked as a moisturizer and medication for me. But I've run out of that so I decided to try these two moisturizers first.

I would prefer if the moisturizer was a bit thinner..? This restorative cream is quite thick so just a little amount will do for your whole face. I do realise that after I apply it, my face get a little sticky. Are moisturizers supposed to feel that way? Idk, I've never really used them. Do comment below if you'd like to shed some light on the subject, lol. Since it gets sticky, I'll only apply this at night, before I sleep.

[Smell] : It smells...citrus-y. I guess its from the uhm...citrus fruit oils and some eucalyptus..ajdsoiasjoi scientific name thingy. But yeah. Smells lemony but not like the typical artificial lemon kind.

[Overall] : Overall, I'd say that for people with sensitive skin,  this makes the "safe to use products' list since it's very hard to find products that suit us and y'know doesn't irritate us. Since I haven't been using it everyday, I haven't really noticed other improvements besides the fact that it hasn't caused breakouts and redness. So I'm glad I've found something that suits me. For those with sensitive skin, maybe you could try this product out. This cream seems pretty mild to me so yeah (:
